For the first time for 350 years history of the London Royal Society, the Russian scientists participated in an exposition of the anniversary Society’s Summer Scientific Exhibition.
Within the frame of the joint international project related to humanitarian demining, the holographic subsurface radar RASCAN-4 designed in Remote Sensing Laboratory has been presented.
Queen of England Elizabeth II visited the laboratory’s stand to familiarize herself with this Russian technology, see photos.
Russian 1st TV channel report from London about this event is presented here: http://www.1tv.ru/news/techno/156903
New version of Multiscan software is available for download now.
What's new in MultiScan 5.00.1.2?
The artefacts at the displaying of the big images have been removed.
The dark border on the images being saved with "Save as image" menu command has been removed.
Now you can check the position of the scan line not only by its number but by its coordinate also. This option especially convenient if step on Y-axis non equal to one centimeter.
An international team of researchers, funded by the NATO Security Through Science Programme, spent a week working on new applications for RASCAN radars.

We are producing the RASCAN-4
radar intended for inspection of walls and building structures.
RASCAN-4 is new updating of the device that has following new features:
Communication with the computer through USB port, instead of parallel port as earlier
New HF part (low-noise, highly sensitive)
Minimal scanning pitch - 5 mm (was 10 mm)
4 lines LCD (was 2 lines)
Reverse polarity protection
Excess voltage protection.
We have abandoned production of the former model RASCAN-3.
The Laboratory's staff members had been rewarded with Russian Federation
government's prize in the field of science and technology for creation
of the RASCAN radar technology.
